Dr Hannah Greig, a specialist in the social history of the eighteenth century, has provided historical consultancy for some of the BBC’s most popular period dramas, such as Poldark and Gunpowder, as well as feature films such as The Duchess.
Her work has changed the way that this role is viewed and used by production staff, leading to consulting much earlier in the process.
Hannah discusses the issues of historical ‘accuracy’ in period drama, with Poldark writer, Debbie Horsfield during a lecture In Conversation with Debbie Horsfield.
