Medical History appoints new Assistant Editor

Dr Alexander Medcalf appointed Assistant Editor

Medical History is delighted to announce the appointment of a new Assistant Editor of the journal for a period of five years - Dr. Alexander Medcalf of the Centre for Global Health Histories at the University of York.

The editor, Professor Sanjoy Bhattacharya said, “Alex has been serving as Editorial Assistant since the summer of 2011 and has excelled in this role. As a mark of acknowledgement of the quality of his work and his positive contributions to Medical History, Cambridge University Press and I decided to offer Alex a more prominent role in the day to day running of the journal with immediate effect. We are delighted that he has accepted our invitation."
