Antimicrobial resistance, or AMR, is now recognised as one of the most serious global threats to human health in the 21st century with bacteria’s resistance to antibiotics increasingly spreading from one country to the next. This seminar will elaborate on the diverse impact of AMR in Sri Lanka, and consider the value of a critical discourse on historiographical mapping and policy analysis on various approaches to tackle the global challenge of AMR.
