Fay Bound Alberti, co-Director of the Centre for Global Health Histories, is hosting a panel discussion and drinks reception in York on Friday 25 October to launch her UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship on the cultural and emotional history of face transplants. The event will be chaired by Deborah Smith, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research at the University of York. Participants include the head and neck surgeon Daniel Saleh, the clinical psychologist Susan Brown, the artists Clare Whistler and Lucy Burscough, the founder of Changing Faces and Face Equality International James Partridge and the writer Louisa Young.
