Graduate Teaching Assistant

Veronica is currently undertaking a PhD at the University of York, supervised by Sarah Brown, which takes as its focus the many secular buildings from Victorian and Edwardian British cities such as Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle and Glasgow, and the pivotal role that stained glass played within them. She has also published work on the Arts and Crafts company of George Wragge Ltd of Salford, who created major works in stained glass in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, as well as the stained glass work of Christopher Whall at St Leonard’s Parish Church in Middleton. Veronica studied a BA (Hons) in Fine Art and History at Aberystwyth University, and obtained an MA in Art History and Visual Studies at the University of Manchester (2011) and an MA in Stained Glass Conservation and Heritage Management at the University of York (2016), as well as a Classical Studies Diploma with the Open University (2011). She is also a practitioner in the craft of stained glass, and designs and makes her own works.
