Rebekah completed her undergraduate and masters degrees in the History of Art Department at the University of York. She is currently in the fourth year of her PhD under the supervision of Dr Cordula van Wyhe and funded by the Wolfson Foundation. Her research focuses on aspects of material culture in the Sixteenth-century Netherlands with a particular emphasis on the artistic patronage of Flemish nobility. Rebekah’s thesis aims, through a series of case studies, to examine how objects actively worked to constitute the dynastic bodies that produced and encountered them. Her work examines a variety of media, including tapestry, stained glass, oil painting, watercolour, and book illustration.
