Jessica Schouela

Graduate Teaching Assistant

Jessica is a PhD candidate supervised by Professor Michael White. Her doctoral thesis explores photography, modernism and abstraction between 1914 - 1930 in America, France and Germany. Other research interests include feminism, environmental studies, documentary, abstract painting and film. She has a BA from McGill University in Art History and World Cinemas and an MA from UCL in History of Art. She has done exchanges at the University of Edinburgh and University of Rochester (WUN Research Travel Grant).
