Claudia Wardle

Claudia Wardle is a PhD candidate at the University of York working under the supervision of Amanda Lillie. Her research explores notions of spiritual landscape and representations of the natural world in fifteenth-century Ferrarese sacred painting, underpinned by scriptural, hagiographic, and patristic sources. Before beginning her doctorate, Claudia completed an MA by Research at Durham University focussing on nature leading to the divine in the works of artist Cosmè Tura, previously having received her a BA in Modern Languages and Cultures (Spanish & Italian) also at Durham University.
