Posted on 28 May 2015

Professor Liz Prettejohn is taking part in a panel discussion, 'On Beauty', at the British Museum.

The discussion will explore the influence of the Ancient Greeks' perception of beauty on Western art and how ideas have changed, looking at the impact of Greek sculpture on nineteenth-century art, and considering recent research that has revealed how the brain generates experiences of beauty.

Chaired by Ian Jenkins, British Museum, the discussion also features Michael Squire, King's College London, Jeremy Tanner, UCL, and Semir Zeki, UCL.

The event takes place on Friday 29 May and starts at 6.30pm.  For further details and to book please see the British Museum's website.
