Funding News for the MA in Stained Glass Conservation and Heritage Management

Posted on 6 February 2012

A unique training opportunity has arisen through York Minster’s Heritage Lottery Funded York Minster Revealed project. This ambitious programme of work embraces the conservation of York Minster’s Great East Window of 1405-8 and will provide training at the York Glaziers Trust for two stained glass conservators enrolled on the University of York’s MA course.

The funding will provide a fully-paid preliminary 12 month internship at the YGT, with further paid employment and a funded placement at the YGT during the two-year MA programme. The first internship will commence in September 2012, with MA study commencing in October 2013. The second internship will commence in September 2013 for MA study commencing in October 2014.

Applicants for the 2012-13 internship will be recruited from MA applicants allocated places on the programme by the end of March 2012. Applicants for the 2013-14 internship will be considered in March 2013.

Only UK applicants successfully awarded a place for full-time MA study will be eligible for consideration.
