New look Patient Portal for eReferrals and online assessments
Greater configuration and intelligence plus a sleek new look for the PCMIS Patient Portal.
The Patient Portal is a secure and effective way to improve access and patient engagement for your service through eReferrals and online assessments. With GP or self-referrals flowing directly into the system, plus ongoing access for completing assessments, the Portal has been proven to reduce admin tasks, empower patients, and enable clinicians to optimise contact time.
At PCMIS we understand that the demands on services are changing constantly. We maintain an open dialogue with our customers to understand how best we can support them. With that in mind, we've been working on some improvements to the Patient Portal:
- Greater choice of configurable question types - for example, your service may only want to receive eReferrals from a particular postcode
- Configurable messages throughout portal screens, including 'unavailable' messages to manage referral streams - configurable by service, or referral type
Assessment / referral logic
- eReferrals and online assessments can be configured to provide a particular outcome - for example, redirecting to a particular holding account based on responses.
- The Portal can now collect all eReferral and online assessment information and send it through to PCMIS as a batch. This reduces the risk of eReferral information ending up in PCMIS when an individual has changed their mind about referring, helping your service remain compliant with GDPR.
What next for the Portal?
We're already looking further ahead at the next phase of development for the Patient Portal. Our next release will focus on flexible data capture and introduce more options around the collection of measures (e.g. ADSMs and PEQs).
