Biography

Semra has a midwifery background and her PhD project is related to psychological interventions delivered by non-mental-health specialists for the treatment of perinatal depression.

Semra began to study at the University of York in 2016, prior to that she completed an MSc degree in Midwifery in 2015 and enhanced her knowledge and practice by attending an International Exchange Programme in Czechia for nine months. Her focus in masters was on intrapartum care for healthy women and babies and especially care during the second stage of labour.
