Sarwat has a medical background with further training in Epidemiology and Biostatistics and has research experience both in the South East Asia and the UK. Her interests are quantitative methods mainly involving randomised trials of public health interventions related to tobacco and lung health, and the health of Muslim ethnic minorities in the UK.
Sarwat's research interests are in infectious disease epidemiology, survey methods, and tobacco cessation interventions.
