Biography

Sarah is a Research Fellow at the York Trials Unit working on qualitative process evaluations of complex healthcare interventions. She joined YTU in 2021 after completing her PhD. During her PhD she researched autistic people’s maternity care experiences and perinatal mental health using quantitative and qualitative methods.

Research

Overview

Sarah’s research interests include the application of mixed methods to improve patient experience. She also has interests in perinatal mental health and neurodevelopmental conditions such as autism.

Projects

  • FIREFLI: Safe and well visits by the Fire and Rescue Service to prevent falls and improve quality of life in elderly population
  • PACT: Developing & testing an intervention to improve the quality and experience of transitions for older people
