Profile

Biography

Lucy completed her midwifery education at the University of York in 2016. Since then she has worked in both hospital and community settings at York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. More recently she has been involved in the establishment of a continuity of carer team and continues to work in this team providing care to women throughout their pregnancy journey.

Alongside her clinical work Lucy also worked as the lead midwife for implementing the Saving Babies’ Lives Version 2 Care bundle across site at York Hospital. She completed the Master of Public Health in 2019 at the University of York. In September 2020 she joined the Midwifery Education team part time whilst continuing to work clinically the rest of the week. 

Lucy is passionate about midwifery education with particular interest in; Perinatal mental health, Infant Feeding, Gestational Diabetes, Public health and health Inequalities.
