Deborah Gibson-Smith joined the Martin House Research Centre as a research fellow in January 2019. She originally trained as a dietitian but decided to follow a career in research by continuing her studies and obtaining an MSc in Epidemiology. Deborah then went on to do a PhD as part of the MoodFOOD (Multicountry collaborative project on the role of Diet, Food-related behaviour, and obesity in the prevention of Depression) project based at the VU Medical Centre in Amsterdam. Deborah is registered as an Epidemiologist with the Dutch Epidemiological Society (VVE).
