Dr Chandani Nekitsing has been a Research Fellow in the Department of Health Sciences since 2018. Currently she is working on a project looking at inequalities in identification and treatment of perinatal mental health in order to develop recommendations and adaptations to systems to address these inequalities.
Chandani has a background in Research and Health Psychology and has worked on a range of health behaviour projects across lifespan. She completed her PhD at the University of Leeds looking at strategies to promote vegetable intake in preschool children.
Chandani is interested in health and wellbeing across lifespan. In particular she is interested in nutrition, physical activity and wellbeing of young children.
Chandani is currently working on the analysis of the Better Start Bradford project.
Chandani is able to co-supervise MSc and PhD projects looking at behaviour change and child nutrition and wellbeing.
