Profile

Biography

Carol studied Psychology at the University of Hull whilst working for Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust. Working with people who have a learning disability/complex needs, she went on to complete an MSc in Forensic Psychology at the University of Leicester.

Carol worked within the NHS research and development team for six years and brings with her a wealth of experience of working on NIHR portfolio studies across Hull and Humber.  She joined the Mental Health and Addiction Research Group in 2019 and is currently working as a Trial Support Officer on the RE-DEFINE study and as a Coordinator on the ‘Closing the Gap: Health and Wellbeing Cohort’

Research

Overview

Carol has a broad interest in all aspects of community mental health problems and enjoys the ‘hands on’; building therapeutic relationships with service users and community staff as well as data collection.
