Byron George
IT Manager / PCMIS Director



Byron is IT manager and PCMIS director for the Department of Health Sciences. He is a chartered IT professional, ITIL manager and is PRINCE2 certified. Byron has overall responsibility for IT and PCMIS infrastructure, he is line manager for the Health Sciences IT and PCMIS IT teams, and has responsibility for strategic development and implementation of information solutions. Byron is departmental lead for information governance, adherance to the Data Protection Act and Freedom of Information requests. Byron has over twenty years’ experience in healthcare IT, delivering innovative systems to both academic and NHS environments.
