  • OPAL2 - A multi-centre RCT comparing the OPAL occupational support programme with usual care on the time to return-to-work in patients undergoing elective hip or knee replacement surgery.

  • SCOOTT - A multi-centre, superiority and non-inferiority three-arm RCT to assess the clinical and cost effectiveness of treating arthritis of the base of the thumb, with or without surgery and to determine the clinical and cost effectiveness of trapeziectomy versus base of thumb joint replacement.
  • SInUS- A randomised controlled trial to find out if the Segmental intra-ureteric stent (SIS) is better than the Polymeric short-term stent (PSS). We will be looking at whether SIS reduces symptoms, the number of surgeries needed, NHS costs, and if it can improve patients’ quality of life.
  • SORE Elbow - A feasibility trial for conducting a RCT evaluating the clinical and cost-effectiveness of surgery versus physiotherapy for adults with Tennis Elbow persisting for more than 6 months.
