Profile

Biography

I am a research student with a keen interest on chemicals of emerging concern and their effects on the environment. My research is focused on understanding the effects of pharmaceuticals and personal care products on plants, soil invertebrates and ecosystem service delivery in the terrestrial environment.

Prior to starting my PHD, I had obtained a second-class Upper division degree in Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Obafemi Awolowo University and was an Elf merit award scholar all through my undergraduate years. My interest in Environmental science grew over the years as I worked in Health, Safety and Environmental department in some firms. Following my passion, I enrolled for Masters in Environmental Management in the University of Lagos, Nigeria and emerged as the best graduating student in the MEM class 2017/2018 session.

My quest for knowledge in environmental management has influenced my decision to pursue a PhD which addresses the global concern of pollution by pharmaceuticals and personal care products.
