Dr Jeremy F. G Moulton

Biography

Jeremy joined the Department of Environment and Geography as an Associate Lecturer in Environmental Politics in September 2017, whilst completing his PhD at the University of Hull's School of Law and Politics. In September 2018, Jeremy additionally joined York's Department of Politics as Associate Lecturer, contributing undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in European Union studies and comparative politics. At Hull he was a member of the Centre for European Union Studies and contributed to the School's political studies teaching as a Tutor, with a particular focus on European studies and political economy. In March 2018, he was awarded his doctorate for a thesis entitled ‘A Tale of Two Cities: Ecological Modernisation, Climate Action and Political Myth in the European Union'. Jeremy holds an MA (dist) in Global Political Economy and a BA in Politics, both from the University of Hull. 

Jeremy's interdisciplinary research interests lie in the multi-level governance examination of climate and environmental action in the European Union. In particular, he researches local-level, urban climate action in structurally disadvantaged cities, EU-level agenda setting, and contemporary political myth development using innovative methodological frameworks.
