I recently joined the Stockholm Environment Institute coming from private enterprise. I focus on sustainability, resilience and change in a context of integrated social, economic and environmental systems. I work with corporations and with cities and I am particularly interested in collaborating with policy makers and corporate decisions makers on real world cases to make corporations, SMES and cities sustainable and resilient. If you want to know more about my research click on the Research tab.
I trained originally as Theoretical Physicist. After a brief spell as researcher for CERN funded by ASP, I moved to the world of private enterprises. I moved through different industrial sectors: I started in robotics, through to the automotive and appliance sector to end up in the online IS and business consulting. My career that took me from a junior position to executive level, and then to board and directorship level. I “retired” to take up my position at the Stockholm Environment Institute Research Centre at the University of York.
I am the course leader for CSREM (Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management) Masters Programme of courses, and I lecture on CSR. It is a cross-department programme (School of Management, Department of Environment and Geography, Stockholm Environment Institute) led by the Department of Environment and Geography. You can find more information on the Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management Masters course web page.
