Biography

Rosa is a part-time Teaching Fellow in Environmental Economics and also a Ph.D. student at the Department of Environment and Geography. Her field of research is environmental and resource economics, with a focus on control rules for the optimal management of natural resources. Her work often incorporates theories and methods from a range of disciplines such as economics, biology, environment, and operations research. 

She has worked in fishery economics, determining sustainable harvest control rules. Throughout her Ph.D. she will evaluate how to design preventive emergency plants that include government and industry parties for optimal pest management, under the supervision of Julia Touza and Jon Pitchford.
