Manogna Goparaju
PhD Student

Biography

Manogna is an Environmental Economics & Environmental Management PhD student with SEI York and the Department of Environment and Geography at the University of York. She is supervised by Dr. Corrado Topi and Professor Piran White.

Her current research concentrates on corporate social responsibility (CSR) policies in developing countries, with a special focus on the Indian (private) financial sector and the Indian Companies Act, 2013.

Manogna has a BSc. in Environmental Science and a MSc. in Corporate Social Responsibility with Environmental Management from the University of York. Her MSc. thesis was conducted in collaboration with SEI’s GreenEcoNet Project. The research focused on investigating the barriers and enablers associated with adopting and implementing CSR in the Indian private sector. The research, additionally, investigated the initial effects of Schedule VII in the Indian Companies Act, 2013 on the Indian private sector.

She has previously interned with the CSR department in the Greenko Group, a renewable energy production company.
