Completing an internship at TSYS, a global leader in payments processing in Fulford, Eleanor’s project was to develop and introduce a Competitor Analysis system.

Commenting on the impact of Eleanor’s project, Morgan Beard, Director of Strategic Marketing at TSYS, said: “I could get to 80 percent of this information, but it would take me three weeks, a dozen phone calls and a lot of follow up. Now, I get a report in three minutes and get 100 percent of the information I need.”

In the academic year 2013-14 the Student Internship Bureau, based in Careers at the University of York, brokered 178 internship projects with businesses based in the local community, and with the University’s own departments and services.
