Contested Histories and the Parameters of Resistance

Tuesday 3 July 2012, 9.00AM to 6.00pm

A one-day interdisciplinary conference

Keynote Speakers:

  • Dr Alan Rice (University of Central Lancashire)
  • Dr Richard Benjamin (International Slavery Museum, Liverpool)

Throughout the day we aim to explore the different ways in which narratives, cultural artefacts, spaces and places are creatively used and reused to perform acts of resistance which contest authoratitive versions of history.

See conference website for a full programme and further information.

The conference will be followed by a wine reception.

Location: Berrick Saul Building
