Electronics Staff Win Best Poster Award

Gianluca Tempesti and Pedro Campos received the award for Best Poster on the IP Track at the Design Automation Conference, which took place from the 4th to the 9th of June in Austin, Texas.

They presented their work titled "Many-Core Distributed Platform: The Road to Graceful Hardware", where they described the hardware they have been working on for the Graceful Project, in a partnership with the University of Manchester and the University of Southampton. The poster focused on the efforts undertaken at York by Nizar Dahir, Pedro Campos, Colin Bonney, Martin Trefzer, Andy Tyrrell and Gianluca Tempesti to create the network which will connect the next generation of many-core systems, which put special emphasis on power efficiency and runtime optimisation mechanisms.
