One day interactive workshop, hosted by the Centre for Advanced Studies in Language and Education in collaboration with Association for Language Learning, providing a valuable opportunity for collaboration between researchers and practitioners with an interest in carrying out research into primary school foreign language learning and teaching.
Delegates will work in thematic groups of their choice, along with a leading researcher. Drawing on their classroom experiences and on the research expertise provided, delegates will refine research questions, plan the methods, and design the execution of a research project (individual or collaborative).
Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

A pre-workshop pack will be provided, including two or three key articles on the chosen topic.
Delegates are invited to carry out a small scale action research project and write a brief (2 – 3 page) summary of their project by 30th April 2014. Their ‘thematic researcher’ will provide commentary and feedback on the report.

Admission: £45 or FREE for members of the Association for Language Learning or British Association of Applied Linguistics. Paying delegates will be given membership of their choice to one of the above associations.
