Roberto is a PhD Student in the Department of Economics and Related Studies, supervised by Dr Bipasa Datta. He holds a degree in Economics from Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon (UANL), and a Masters in Economics from Centro de Investigacion y Docencia Economicas (CIDE). Roberto does research in Microeconomics, Industrial Organization, and Game Theory. Among his professional experience, he has worked for the Mexican government in the Tax Administration Service and the Ministry of Communications and Transports.
Research Interests: Microeconomics, Industrial Organization and Game Theory with emphasis in the acquisition and use of market power in the energy sector, strategic interactions among firms, and the role of government competition policy.
