Biography

Ieva is a PhD student at the Department of Economics and Related Studies, supervised by Dr Andrew Pickering and Dr Mauro Bambi.

Ieva's research interests are in economic inequality, development and growth. The focus of her PhD thesis is on investigating the link between economic inequality and the effectiveness of foreign aid.

In September 2017 Ieva started working as a research fellow on distributive justice, together with Professor Richard Cookson and Dr Miqdad Asaria at the Centre for Health Economics, York: https://www.york.ac.uk/che/staff/research/ieva-skarda/

Ieva has been awarded the ESRC (+3) studentship. She holds an MSc in Project Analysis, Finance and Investment (distinction) and BSc in Economics and Finance (2:1) from DERS, the University of York.
