Profile

Biography

Jen joined CRD as a Research Fellow in 2011 following her MSc in Health Psychology at The University of Stirling. She is an active Cochrane author and has published extensively for Cochrane Neonatal. As an author for Cochrane Common Mental Disorders (CCMD), Jen is collaborating with content experts at Kings College London on systematic reviews of treatments for postnatal depression. She is also a methodological editor for CCMD.

Jen is  a member of the project team investigating gender inequalities in clinical academic careers as part of a project called “From the sticky floor to the glass ceiling and everything in between: a qualitative review of gender inequalities in clinical academic careers”. The project is led by Dr Jess Morgan in collaboration with Prof Gabrielle Finn.

Jen is the deputy lead of CRD’s Athena SWAN self-assessment team and founder of the University of York EU/EEA Staff Forum. She is also the academic coordinator of CRD’s Introduction to Systematic Reviews & Critical Appraisal course and leads the session on Developing the Review Question and Protocol as well as the Introduction to GRADE.

As a native speaker of German, Jen frequently provides support with study selection and data extraction of studies published in German to colleagues within CRD and in Cochrane.
