Engaging service users in major health service change

Posted on 25 August 2015

Our Evidence Synthesis Centre has published its first Evidence Summary for decision makers. It highlights what works when engaging service users in major health service change.

The Evidence summary (PDF , 280kb) is based on the Centre’s rapid evidence synthesis which assesses what is known about effective patient and public engagement in service reconfiguration processes and identifies implications for practice and research.

The Centre, funded by NIHR, synthesises evidence on a range of topics to inform the organisation and delivery of services. Ongoing topics include integrated care for the physical health needs of people with severe mental illness.
