Our research

YCIL is comprised of an interdisciplinary team of researchers, who seek to advance immunology through modelling and simulation, and use our studies of immunology to inspire simulation development.

Pairing Wet-Lab and Simulation

We are complementing laboratory studies with modelling and simulation, creating computational tools that can be used to inform lab research. Our studies range from the molecular level through to modelling the development of entire organs.

Confidence in Simulation

We are developing rigourous methods that inspire confidence in the use of computational models as tools for biological studies. These range from model development methodologies to the release of new statistical toolkits for simulation developers.

Software Engineering

We are examining how our models of the immune system can inform software engineering practices and inspire algorithm development.
