Find out where you can park on arrivals day for Langwith College.

Parking information for Saturday 16 September

We will be expecting a high volume of students on the same day from various colleges, so we will be implementing a system to manage the limited parking spaces available and minimise congestion. We ask that you follow this process on arrival:

  1. Holding car park: Park in the Field Lane Car Park and leave your belongings in your car while you collect your room key and Student ID card from the Langwith College Centre Building. The Field Lane Car Park can be found using laser.ranges.member on what3words.

  2. Unloading bays: Once you have collected your room key you can move your car to the unloading parking bays on Deramore Lane which are adjacent to the college. You will be provided with a map and instructions on the day. Our volunteers will be there to greet you and help you move your belongings to your room. Due to the high number of students arriving you will have 20 minutes to unpack your car.

  3. Long stay off-campus parking: If your family or friends would like to stay for longer we have arranged free off-campus parking at Grimston Bar Park and Ride (postcode: YO19 5LA or what3words address: caked.cooks.dare) with a free shuttle bus running between the Campus East interchange and Grimston Bar every 15 to 20 minutes. We therefore ask one member of your party to move your car to this long stay car park as soon as you have unloaded all of your belongings. The shuttle service will finish at 6pm, and the Grimston Bar Park and Ride will close at 9.55pm. Please make sure to collect your vehicles before that time.

You will not be able to access University accommodation until the confirmed contract start date in your accommodation offer. Please ensure you plan to arrive on or after this date.
