How to log on to wifi and check your emails

There is wifi in all study bedrooms and the College Nucleus so you can easily check your emails using the wifi connection.  Alternately, you can check your emails using the study spaces in the Forum or other nearby study spaces.

The College will communicate important messages via email to your University email account.  We therefore suggest that you check your emails daily.

If you need an ethernet cable (for desktop computers), you can get one from the College Administrator (Paula Mountain-Agar).  You can find Paula's office in the College Nucleus (GNU/001).

How to Print

There are PrintPlus printers across campus.  You can send print jobs to the print queue from anywhere and print out your work at any PrintPlus printer.

In Goodricke, there is a PrintPlus printer inside the College Nucleus, near the internal telephone.

For detailed instructions, see PrintPlus for students.

How to do your laundry

The Laundry is situated in the College Nucleus.  It contains washing machines and dryers operated by a card system rather than cash.  More information on how to use the machines can be found here

Goodricke College's Laundry

Residents will need to purchase a card from the dispenser located within the Laundry.  The cost of this card is £5 and comes with £3.50 credit.  Credit can be added to the cards by visiting circuit.co.uk.  You will receive a top-up code which can then be activated by taking your card to the top-up machine in the Laundry.

Mylaundryview is an online system which can check any connected laundry rooms on campus.  Use this to view:

  • the availability of washing/drying machines before you leave your study bedroom.
  • the status of your washing and the time remaining.

Lost Keys

How to get a replacement key

Simply go to the Ron Cooke Hub Reception and ask for a temporary key.  You must return this within 24 hours or you will incur a fine.

The charge to replace lost or damaged keys is £10 per key or keycard.

Booking rooms

How to book a room

The Junior Common Room (JCR) and the Clarbour Room (GCR) are exclusive social space for Goodricke members. The JCR can only be booked by Members of Goodricke, it is not possible to book the Clarbour Room.

When booking any College space, you agree to leave the room clean and tidy after use.  All rubbish must be removed and placed in the relevant recycling bins.
