The Constantine College Team are here to help our students to make the most of their university experience. Throughout the year we offer our students opportunities to try new things, develop their skills, socialise, and meet other members of the College.
If you would like to speak to one of us, get in touch with us directly, or make an appointment to see one of the College Tutors by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. In an emergency, always contact campus Security on 01904 323333.
As College Administrator, I'm the key point of contact during office hours and am responsible for providing day-to-day administration for the College. I work closely with Accommodation Services, Campus Services, Student Support, and student committees and regularly communicate with residents and College members. I also organise, administer and promote college activities and events.
I support Jonny, the College Manager, in implementing the College strategy.
I can be contacted on 01904 325213, by email at email@example.com or pop into my office in The Forum.
I’ve been at the University of York since 2011, completing an MA in Social Work in 2013, then going on to complete a PhD in 2017. I worked for the university as a researcher and lecturer in the department of Social Policy and Social Work since 2016, before coming to Constantine! Before coming to the university, I worked for 15 years in the voluntary sector in health promotion, community development, volunteer management, and social work-related services.
I have day-to-day responsibility for the well-being of college members, and the support that we offer to our students. I manage the College Team, and work closely with other sections of the University, including Careers and Student Support Services.
If you would like to contact me you can do so by calling 01904 325212 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Andrew Ferguson: College Principal. The College Principal represents the college across the university and wider community, and Chairs College Councils. Andrew is Strategic Project Manager in the University's Careers and Placements department. He is responsible for the expansion of opportunities for students to gain work experience whilst at York.
Hello from our 2019-20 College Bethany, Ben, Dan and Charlotte.
The College Tutors are the first point of contact for residents if you have any questions or concerns during your time in Constantine College. We live alongside our resident students and are a key part of the College community. We offer support to students within the college, and are available to talk if you or a friend are having any difficulties you would like to discuss.
Sometimes it is necessary for the college team to contact students to check on their welfare or deal with any other issues raised with us. The College Manager deals with more serious issues, and Tutors deal with lower level issues. However, you may be contacted by any member of the college team by email, text, or phone, if the need arises. You may request to engage with your preferred college team member, if you wish.
You can contact us by emailing email@example.com. During term time we have tutor drop ins, Tuesday 5.30pm to 7pm and Thursday 12pm to 1.30pm where you'll find us in the reception area in The Forum. In an emergency please contact campus Security on 01904 323333.
During welcome week, you will be introduced to the Second and Third Year Mentors (STYMS) for your flat.
Your STYMS will be a point of contact throughout the year to aid your transition into the college community. They will check in with your flat, in person and occasionally by email, throughout the year, provide information about campus life, opportunities in Constantine, YUSU and different support services that the university has for students.
STYMS also function as a familiar face should you come across difficulties during your time as a resident. STYMS can point you toward sources of support and are also trained to escalate to the college team where appropriate. STYMS are friendly, approachable and caring people who have been selected to welcome you to the college and help you make the most out of where you live and study!
If you are finding it difficult to make friends, or to join in with groups or activities, contact your STYM through the Tutor email firstname.lastname@example.org or email them directly. Your STYM or a Tutor will arrange to meet with you and discuss ways of helping you to connect with other people and activities.
