I studied for an MEng in Electronic Engineering with Nanotechnology at the University of York Electronic Engineering department. My interest in biology was sparked by the many biologically inspired solutions to engineering problems, such as evolutionary computation or self-assembling fabrication techniques. I am now interested in how nanoscale technologies can be applied to solving biological problems and am currently developing new biosensors that integrate both optical and electrical measurements, to better probe biological and chemical interactions.
