CIDCATS Student Hayley Clissold

Hayley Clissold

2014 entry

CIDCATS is an attractive PhD programme as it focuses around infection (a topic I have always been interested in) and provides the opportunity to use interdisciplinary approaches to tackle scientific problems.

Background

I graduated from the University of Warwick in 2013 with a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry. I undertook two summer projects in the USA and UK during my undergraduate studies and became really keen to continue scientific research in the form of a PhD. CIDCATS was an attractive PhD program as it focused around infection (a topic I have always been interested in) and provided the opportunity to use interdisciplinary approaches to tackle scientific problems.
