2012 entry

I hope to use quantitative approaches to improve our understanding of key biomedical systems, and to yield novel insights which can be further explored both experimentally and computationally.

Background

I became interested in applying mathematical approaches to biological problems while completing a BSc in Mathematics at the University of Southampton, and further pursued this area of study by obtaining an MSc in Mathematical Biology from the University of Bath. The opportunity to undertake experimental work (despite lacking any relevant experience) whilst also developing my skills in computation are what most attracted me to CIDCATS. The chance to go through my PhD as part of a cohort was another advantageous factor.
