Combating Infectious Disease: Computational Approaches in Translational Science (CIDCATS)
A 4-year PhD Doctoral Training Programme
CIDCATS Student Profile
CIDCATS was a natural choice for me to develop my interest and experience in biomedical research while also being exposed to other disciplines, in particular modelling paradigms and their application to biology.
My undergraduate degree was in medicine at the University of Edinburgh. During my time in Edinburgh, I also completed an intercalated degree that exposed me to basic lab research. I soon realised that I was more interested the science behind medicine, rather than the clinic itself, and decided to pursue a PhD.
