Small-Molecule X-ray Crystallography

The Department has a dual-source single crystal X-ray diffractometer for small molecule crystallography:

  • Oxford Diffraction SuperNova equipped with a 4-circle goniometer, microfocus Mo & Cu X-ray sources and CCD detector

Samples are normally run at low temperature (typically 110 K) using liquid nitrogen cooling systems.

The instruments are used for research samples prepared within the Department.

Departmental users can get further details of the small-molecule X-ray crystallography service by using the link on the menu.
