Work Experience in the Chemistry Department at the University of York

Year 10/11 science work experience

This course runs from Monday 13 July to Friday 17 July (10am to 4pm). You must be able to attend for all five days and will need to travel from home to and from the University every day (it's not a residential programme).

This work experience week for Year 10/11 students will give you a flavour of what it’s like to study at a Russell Group university. This is your chance to explore fascinating science topics and meet world-leading experts in their fields.

  • Experience a week on campus at York, spending time in five departments: Biology, Chemistry, Electronic Engineering, Mathematics and Physics.
  • Meet current undergraduate students and find out what it's like to study at university
  • Attend lectures, visit our teaching laboratories and conduct experimental work.

Year 12/13 work experience

There are currently no work experience opportunities for Year 12/13 students. However, you may be interested in the Sixth Form Chemistry Conference on Friday 3 July 2020.
