Atmospheric Chemistry

The atmospheric chemistry group combines world-class measurement science, both laboratory and field, with theory and modelling, and is housed in the Wolfson Atmospheric Chemistry Laboratories (WACL). WACL are one of the leading university research groups of their kind in the world, studying a range of disciplines, including urban and global air pollution, stratospheric ozone depletion, climate processes, and indoor atmospheres. The distinctive strengths at York are in halogen chemistry, urban air pollution, atmospheric emissions, molecular composition of aerosols, atmospheric mechanisms, global ozone processes, and measurement technologies.
