The congress will be held at the Ron Cooke Hub (photo above) on the University of York's Heslington East Campus. The Ron Cooke Hub is the University of York’s newest £20million, 7000 sq. ft. 'melting pot' for engagement which overlooks the lake and its rich wildlife. It is just two miles from York City Centre and easily accessible from the A64.
The exhibition and dinners will take place in the Ron Cooke Hub Atrium (photo left).
The Ron Cooke Hub lecture theatre (photo above) provides tiered seating for 220 delegates.
On the second floor is the Lakehouse (photo above) with views over the Heslington East campus and lakes.
The closest airports to the University of York are Leeds-Bradford International Airport and Manchester Airport. A direct train from Manchester Airport to York runs every half an hour and costs from £11 to £30. Leeds-Bradford is the closest airport bus does not have a train station servicing it so you have to get the First 757 bus service to Leeds train station.
There is a frequent, fast train service to York on the main east coast line from London King's Cross to Edinburgh. There is also a direct service across the Pennines between York, Leeds and Manchester Airport. The Ron Cooke Hub is 2 miles from the railway station and you will need to get a bus or a taxi to the building. This can take approximately 10-15 minutes.
The Your Bus 66 connects the Ron Cooke Hub with the city centre / train station in a ca. 20 min trip. Buses run roughly every 12 mins.
