Lab & Facilities Photos

The Taylor group occupy two labs within the Dorothy Hodgkin building in the chemistry department. The labs were opened in 2005. The group also make use of an instrument room and a 400 MHz NMR across the corridor from the two labs.

Image: The two labs are identical in design, with 10 fume hoods in each. The labs are designed for eight researchers in each lab.

Image: Each researcher gets their own hood and lab bench for the duration of their time in the group.
Image: Across the corridor from the labs is our instrument room shared with Peter O'Brien's group. Between the groups there are instruments for IR, UV, GC, alpha D, microanalysis, Karl Fischer and chiral HPLC along with a microwave reactor.
Image: Each researcher also receives a desk in the write-up area. All the desks have connections to the university network.
Image: Also across the corridor is one of the 400 MHz NMR machines to which we have access. Other NMR facilities are also available within the NMR centre.
