Family-friendly Policy

The Department operates a family-friendly policy for all appointments, including arrangements for part-time working, job shares, annualised hours and flexi-time. There are several examples of successful part time working across all grades of jobs. There is a very strong commitment to equal opportunities from the Department's management. The Department was specifically commended in its Athena SWAN award citation for its excellent approach to family-friendly working practices.
