Laurie joined CHE in September 2017 as a Marie Curie European Training Network PhD student. She will be looking into the volume-outcome relationship in hospital care under the supervision of Luigi Siciliani and Martin Chalkley. The research project will involve using NHS Hospital Episode Statistics. This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No 721402.
Prior to starting a PhD, Laurie worked at Hospinnomics (co-funded by the Paris School of Economics and the federation of Paris hospitals), where her research focused on drug prices and hospital activity using administrative data.
Laurie holds a Master in Economics and Public Policy from Sciences Po (Paris).
