Research Fellow

Irene Sánchez is a Research Fellow in the Health Policy team. She joined the Centre for Health Economics (CHE) in October 2011 and worked for two years in topics related with informal care, health care inequalities, and patient data analysis. In October 2013 she was awarded with a PhD scholarship from the UK Department of Health Policy Research Programme. She is currently working on assessing the NHS England on analysing the efficiency for a range of locally priced services (adult secure mental health, adult critical care and HIV services) to provide evidence of which prices are above the most efficient levels of cost and to improve quality for reduced cost.

Irene also holds an MSc in Economics from the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics (June 2011), an MA in Economic Theory and Econometrics from the Toulouse School of Economics (June 2010), and a Bachelor in Economics from Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona, 2005-2009).
