Aimée joined the Team for Economic Evaluation and Health Technology Assessment (TEEHTA) in April 2017.
Prior to this, Aimée was part of the HRB Interdisciplinary Capacity Enhancement Post-Doctoral Fellowship Scheme in the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health in University College Cork (UCC). Under this scheme, she performed a cost analysis to estimate the cost of preeclampsia in the Irish healthcare system.
Aimée was awarded her PhD in Health Economics from the School of Economics (UCC) in 2016. Her PhD was entitled “The Impact of User Charges on Patient Choice of Healthcare Services in Ireland”. This research assessed patients’ response to user charges for healthcare services to ascertain whether user charges are a viable source for part-funding healthcare in Ireland. Aimée completed an MSc (Health Economics) in 2011 and a BA (Economics and Spanish) in 2010 (UCC).
